Top tips for investing in numberplates
1. Budget- Work out your budget-
numberplates can run into tens of thousands of pounds.
2. Appeal- Attempt to buy plates
with the widest appeal to the largest audience.
3. Ownership- Whilst owning the
plate you may wish to use it so go for something you'll enjoy (FU2 is a
great example)
4. Selling- When the time comes
to sell- remember it can take months to sell a plate- it can take time
to realise your investment.
5. Fees- remember the annual
DVLA fees if the plate is on retention as well as the transfer fees when
you sell the plate.
Finally remember that investments can
go down as well as up- as numberplates are a luxury purchase the market
will be effected in times of recession when spending is cut back.
