Price- how much is your plate worth?

Every numberplate is unique and as such prices vary wildly- it's a good idea to try and find similar plates in the marketplace to give you an idea of values- smashing Plates also offer a valuation service

Is the plate on retention or on your vehicle?

Depending on whether or not your plate is on a vehicle or on retention it will affect how quickly the purchaser will be able to transfer the plate. It's generally accepted that a numberplate on retention is a far simpler prospect when buying than a numberplate is on a vehicle.

Should i include a set of plates?

In a word- Yes! Give your potential buyer something tangible to buy. A legally spaced set of plates can be purchased for less than £20 but will send the message to your potential buyers that they're getting something more.

Should I include the DVLA fees?

So long as your plate is on retention then the DVLA fees are already paid- either increase your asking price to accommodate or absorb the cost. We recommend not separately charging for the fees as it can put some buyers off. Advertise your plate for one price with no extras- keep things simple!
